Sangiovese, Václav Winery
"Sangiovese Supremus is a wine for lovers of complex red wines. Its fresh acidity and firm tannins make it suited for long aging, but it is also great for immediate drinking if given enough time to develop its bouquet."
Product detailed description
This elegant and expressive Sangiovese comes from Kurdějov, Díly – Terasy vineyard. The vineyard is situated at an altitude of 267 m a.s.l., facing southeast. Loamy loess with rendzina soil gives the wine pronounced minerality and depth.
Serving Recommendations
Serve at a temperature of 15–16 °C. We recommend decanting for at least 60 minutes before serving to fully develop the wine's complexity.
Food Pairing
Excellent with traditional Italian cuisine – pasta with tomato sauce, lasagne, or risotto with porcini mushrooms. It also pairs well with quality cured meats, delicately spiced dishes, and hard cheeses such as pecorino or parmesan.
Cellaring
This wine has an ageing potential of 4–5 years, during which it will continue to harmonize and develop its character.
Recommended Glass
Best enjoyed in a glass for structured red wines such as Bordeaux, which allows its full aromatic spectrum to unfold.
