Product detailed description

This dry red wine comes from the prestigious Díly vineyard in Kurdějov, located in the Velkopavlovická subregion. The vineyard's southeast exposure and loamy loess with rendzina soil lend the wine a distinctive character and harmony.

Serving Recommendations

Serve at 15–16 °C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass, which will highlight its rich bouquet. We recommend decanting for at least 60 minutes before serving.

Food Pairing

The perfect companion for pink and red meats, BBQ, high-quality charcuterie, and cured meats.

Cellaring

With proper storage, this wine can develop its qualities for 6–7 years.

Wine Characteristics

Colour:	Deep ruby.
Aroma:	Clean and direct, with typical varietal expression of ripe stone fruit, a touch of refreshing herbaceousness, spiciness, and a hint of liquorice and exotic spice.
Taste:	Dry, with flavours of ripe stone and dried berry fruit, juicy fruit acidity, evolving tannins, and a long fruity-spicy finish with a hint of earthiness.
Overall Impression:	A typical varietal Blaufränkisch (Frankovka) from an outstanding vintage, with a smooth palate and mature bouquet.

Vinification and Ageing

Harvest:	Hand-picked grapes on 30 October 2022. Sugar content at harvest: 23 °NM.
Maceration:	The grapes were macerated for 24 hours for a more intense flavour profile.
Fermentation:	Fermentation and ageing in barrique barrels for 10 months. Bottled on 6 September 2023.
